‌Description : Rapid curing shutcrete is a white and gray powder which lacks choloride ion . It is used at 10 centigrade and is highly a dapted with different Portland cements . It is used to spray concrete in the tunnels or placesin which there is a risk of ceiling or walls collapse. Shutcrete leads to concrete setting ,desirable resistance ,shortens the time for concrete maintainance , keeps the risk of temperature changes at minimum . It will start hydration as soon as concrete sets on the wall or ceiling .so that the setting increases up to 80% because of the heat resulted from this process.It acts as a catalyst in the hydrationreactions . -Shutcrete dosage : Its dosage depends wpon temperature and concrete type . The dosage at 25 cetigrade is approximately 1- 3% of the cement weight and shall be applied in a dry form and mixed with cement or sand . The dry concrete is sprayed with the shut crete machine . There is also a lateral pipe adjusting the required water . water and concrete get mixed in the air and starts to set before reaching to the wall. The sutcvete effect depends on the cement arnount in the concrete and the temperature -Storage : It is stored in a place with no humidity at 10-30 centigrade for 4 months . They reduce the water reeded for the concrete and , consequently , they lead to concrete durability against alternate cycles .They lack any cholorid ion and are suitable to use in the reinforced concrete . -Applications : concreting in the freezing or cold weather at +5 to -15 centigrade -How to use : they used with the concrete water or added to the concrete mixture or cemement mortar shortly after , it is thoroughly get mixed .Df conrse , you should follow the general rules regarding concreting in the cold weather .
